DescriptionJohn Parkinson, Jr.'s Concordia yawl, "Winnie of Bourne" surfing under spinnaker, main, & mizzen staysail. Delivered in 1952, the thirty-nine-foot WINNIE OF BOURNE was the seventh Concordia yawl to have been built by Abeking and Rasmussen in Germany, and is among the most widely traveled. She is sailing here in 1958 under her original double-spreader, seven-eighths rig. In 1966, rigged as a sloop, she became a hot boat on the New York Yacht Club cruise, with a first, two seconds, and a third in her class.
