Description The Concordia thirty-nine-foot yawl "Suva" beats to weather on a wet afternoon off of Marion, MA in 1967. The first of the German-built Concordias, "Suva" was launched in 1950 under the name "Sheila", then quickly sold to a new owner as "Suva". More recently she became "Cabaret", then "Duende". In this image she carries a single-spreader masthead rig with the mainsheet running through blocks on the bridge deck and on wire bridles attached to the main boom. Her jib is hanked onto the headstay the old-fashioned way. No roller-furling here.On View
