DescriptionConcordia yawl "Banda" in cradle on freighter, waiting to be offloaded in Boston. The first of two Concordia 41-foot sloops originally named Banda arrives in Boston from Bremerhaven on the deck of a ship, 1956. After being offloaded from the ship, she will be towed by Concordia Company's yard boat Fetcher from Boston through the Cape Cod Canal to Padanaram, where she will undergo final outfitting. Unaccountably, she is shown here carrying two bronze stern pulpits. Presumably one of them is bound for another Concordia 41. Sailing first as Banda, then as Sagola, this bright-hulled Concordia compiled a fine racing record during her first decade in commission. On View
