DescriptionSmall walrus tusk, squared sides, monochrome engraved one side only: a seal; a plain cribbage board flanking a Native Alaskan harpoon; the rearing head of a polar bear in the water. Verso: drilled for two peg feet (missing); signed "George Grey". The root end was originally prepared as a chamber with sliding lid, for storage of game marker pegs, but has broken away and the lid is absent.
