DescriptionA narrow iron pole expands to a socket at one end and a flat spear shaped head with sharp edges at the opposite end. Exterior of socket served. A wooden pole is inserted in the socket, tapered to iron; indented at base for band; remains of blue paint lower half of pole. 3/8" line with eye splice round iron. Eye splice at opposite end inserted through pole near base and comes out center of end.ProvenanceReceived with whaleboat brought from the Azores by Manuel P.S.
