DescriptionA narrow toggle iron hinged head with double barb which turns at right angle to the iron shank when pulled and a pin hole in the toggle. A socket at the opposite end of shank with a wooden pole with chamfered edged inserted. an eye splice in 3/4" line around the iron at the opposite end. A line is lashed to the pole two times.ProvenanceReceived with whaleboat brought from the Azores by Manuel P.S. Macedo & sold to Mrs Gracia Waters who gave it to New Bedford in 1969On View
