DescriptionFrederick Friis was born in Sweden and studied art in Copenhagen and Paris. In the 1890s, he worked for a New Bedford company that produced picture frames and art novelties. By the end of the century, he and his family moved to Fairhaven, where he had a studio located across the street from Lemuel Eldred’s studio. On View
