DescriptionA heavy ax with the original handle that is marked by the Peavey Mfg. Co. and an owner's initials: "F. W.". The edge length is 7" long. It was used on a whaleship since it has heavy whale oil patine.Provenance"HWK" numbered objects are from Henry W. Kendall's personal collection, distinct from the larger Kendall Whaling Museum collection.
