DescriptionRosewood straightedge yardstick with whale ivory tips, inlaid on both sides with transverse bone bars (5; 1 missing) to mark the calibrations (in each case interspersed with ornamental diamonds, 6 wood and 1 whale ivory): recto calibrated in the customary fractions of a yard, verso in feet; fastened with non-ferrous metal pins.
