DescriptionMassive, all-whale-ivory crimper with large, straight fork. Six-sided teardrop handle; band of silver metal between two bands of wood; oversize foreshaft, relief-carved with a sawtooth tulip motif, with oversize four-tine (four-prong) fork, branches to a stump; band of silver metal between two bands of wood; curved saddle supporting an uncommonly thick whale ivory fluted wheel; ferrous metal axle.
