DescriptionA wooden chairmaker's brace (or shipwright's brace) with a 6" sweep. It might also have been known as a wimble stock. The brace has no pads (bits) and the nose piece is reinforced with decorative pewter flashing. The turned top handle rotates on a dowel pinned to the upper bow. The body of the brace is tiger maple.On View
