Recto: Larboard broadside portrait of a full-rigged ship in a circular frame; below this, two flowers with leaves, and a bird [?] holding in its beak in a riband inscribed "Tho['] lost to sight / to memory dear." Verso: A sarcophagus tomb, two trees, inscribed "Sacred..."; patriotic vignette of flags, cannons, wreath, sunburst, "1802" (possibly a birth date of the departed).
