DescriptionCoconut shell bowl inlaid with two bands of pewter, joined by a heart-shaped pewter mounting flange and cylindrical foreshaft, forming a socket for the wooden handle; handle carved in a spiral (twist) motif, one band of walrus ivory and one of wood, terminating in an eagle head carved in full round from walrus ivory, eyes and pupils engraved and pigmented.
