DescriptionA whale laid on its side, belly facing the camera, at Akutan Whaling Station. Three men work on the whale and steam rises from buildings on the right and in background. The Akutan Whaling Station was built in the Aleutians East Borough of Alaska by the Pacific Whaling Company in 1912, operating until 1939.
