DescriptionPhotograph of a view through an open door frame, east to west interior of the William J. Rotch House. Two marble candle-holder pillars flanking either side of the door frame and a staircase to the left side of the open door. Alexander Jackson Davis built the cottage in 1845, the house gaining fame in 1850 as part of "the Architecture of Country Houses." American Gothic style cottage.
