DescriptionSwordfishing boat LUANN, with harpooner in pulpit, under full power on a glassy sea.The fishing vessel was rigged for swordfishing off Martha's Vineyard, 1974. Built in Thomaston, Maine, in 1945 to designs by Albert Condon, the 53-foot LUANN mostly operated as an Eastern-rig dragger. Her near sister ROANN survives and is a much-admired floating exhibit at Mystic Seaport.On View
