DescriptionBark Sagres II, the 296½-foot Portuguese naval training ship, pays a visit to New Bedford Harbor in 1970. Butler's Flat Light lies to port. A tugboat trails the vessel off her starboard quarter. The spectator fleet is everywhere. That night the crew found a warm welcome ashore and promised to return soon again.
