DescriptionBill of sale typed on printed stationary purporting to be the letterhead of William P. Fisk & Co., No. 13 Long Wharf, Boston, dated "July 17'th, 1943". Concerns the purchase of (ostensibly antique) scrimshaw sperm whale teeth. Style, typefaces, and format definitively identify it as the product of the "Calhoun Collection" of known forgeries. The document, date, Calhoun connection, and Calhoun himself are entirely bogus, circa the 1970's-1980's.On View
