DescriptionRawhide (buffalo?) quiver, slightly tapered with long fringe (bottom and one side). Shoulder strap of tanned leather strands. For wear over right shoulder. Outer side decorated with blue and red geometric shapes including a central white cross. V-shaped. Native American, probably N. Plains - Sioux, Cheyenne, etc. Possibly part of 1919.3. ProvenanceItem was part of Amon Carter Museum's show on Albert Bierstadt from January to March of 1972. However, there is conflicting provenance. 1919.3 was donated by Anna Thompson. The label from the Amon Carter Museum associates the object with Emma Hathaway. On View
