DescriptionA mechanical box, powered with sand. By tilting the box the sand causes the figures in the picture to move. The wooden box is wrapped in paper with a scene on one side and instructions on the back. The front scene has a glass front lined with a pressed metal border. The chromolithograph depicts three musicians, (left to right) a standing fiddle player in a top hat, gray coat and white pants, whose hand moves; a cello player in a green hat and pants and a long blue jacket, whose arm moves; and a flute player with a long brown coat, whose head moves. They are standing outside a white stone house, and though an open window you can see a mother and child listening. On View
