DescriptionA device, usually a U-shaped metal hoop on a swivel in the gunwale, used to hold an oar in place and as a fulcrum in rowing. The oarlock is covered in leather and oil soaked. There are remnants of rope through a hole in the stem and a hole in one of the legs.Provenance"HWK" numbered objects are from Henry W.
