DescriptionThe lantern is composed of a metal cylinder with a wick connected to a perferated top and a wire handle connected by four metal wires. These four metal wires surround a glass tube that surrounds the wick. The letter "E" is etched in the glass. Near the top is engraved in the metal: "Excelsior Patented Nov. 11th 1878."
