DescriptionHand-darted prussic-acid lance with standard closed seam socket. Somewhat rounded head with flattened edges, no real point. Swivel barb mounted on side for catching and holding onto the whale, and the acid was stored inside the upper end of the shank (shank can be unscrewed).ProvenanceSee Lytle, Thomas G.
