DescriptionTwo sketchs of the same man (possibly self-portrait of Gifford?). The top depiction shows the man seated cross-legged and wearing a beret-style cap. He has a dark beard and seems to be scowling. The bottom depiction shows the man in a partially reclining position, leaning on his left elbow and his right leg is bent while the left lies flat along the ground.
