DescriptionBlack Quaker bonnet belonging to Mrs. Captain Weston Howland. The bonnet fastens with a ribbon attached to both sides of the brim. The opening of the brim is 7.5” wide; the bonnet is 10” deep from the crown to edge of the brim. The crown of the bonnet has pleating along the seam line. The interior of the crown is lined with a stiff netting; it is pleated. ProvenanceBelieved to have belonged to the wife of Captain Weston Howland.
