DescriptionManuscript certificate establishing the William Jackson Tabernacle No. 21 of the Grand Tabernacle of the United Order of Brothers and Sisters of Love and Charity for the State of Pennsylvania. The broadside has a whaling scene at the top, a small portrait presumable of William Jackson inscribed in a circle in center and at bottom a drawing of a hand held upward with palm facing front inscribed in a circle. Text gives names of those establishing branch in New Bedford, defining their powers and responsibilities.On View
