DescriptionThis penmanship sample consists of two large ovals at center, one containing a poem "Woodbine", the other "Carnation". Two smaller ovals are above and below and contain an epigram. Two watercolor baskets of flowers adorn the upper corners. Medium according to 1984 conservation survey: watercolor and graphite with gum glazes on blacks, greens, and yellows, on wove, rag paper.
