DescriptionMonochrome engraved one side only with engraved captions and polychrome highlights. Vignettes of life (ostensibly Chukchi), left to right: Dogsled, with five dogs and one human passenger, labeled "The e's Dogsteam"; wood-frame hut with fish rack, adult (holding a ski pole or implement), and child, labeled "At Home"; woman with an American flag raised over her head, with a flower on a huge leafy stem; polar bear on the ice, facing a hunter with a lance, bird in flight, huts in background, labeled "The e and the Bear". Crowned with silver-metal caps and rings on both ends, with a silken cord tied to each ring. Not work.On View
