DescriptionA rolling pin with the barrel comprised of three different kinds wood and each end is capped with a large turned cylinder of whale ivory. The whole rolling pin is through-drilled with a dowel axle with two through-drilled, baluster-turned handles of sperm whale ivory, and terminating in a dome-shaped turned caps of whale ivory.ProvenanceDonors are grandchildren of Captain Albert Alexander Thomas, maker of the scrimshaw.
