DescriptionA rare sheet brass candlestick (punched) with decorations of leaves, stars & diamond shaped holes on inverted cone-shaped base. Socket is fitted to a trunnion. Candle socket supports & curved handle have ''nailhead" decorations. Supports hold brass ball attached to underside of candle socket and drip catcher. Slot for hanging. Double swivel is provided.ProvenanceHandmade stick was used in days of sailing ships, perhaps aboard clipper or whaling ships.
