DescriptionOne of a set of two matched pitchers. Possibly soft paste porcelain in Wedgewood style with small cameo reliefs in white paste on light blue background. Under side of spout in form of bearded man's head with ram horns. Grape vine relief around upper rim, fern and floral relief on body. Fluted white base. Scroll handle with shell terminals. Gold at rim, border line and handle.ProvenanceFormerly belonged to William J. Rotch. Mr. Phelps' mother was a Rotch descendant.
