DescriptionA mahogany box lap top desk with brass trim on outside edges and brass plate on cover, brass arcs in top cover corners, brass inset handles on sides. Velvet covered writing surface. Two square and two rectangular cubbyholes at top. Ivory pulls on three drawers beneath writing surface. Bottom lined with cloth.ProvenanceCondition: lid fits badly (warping?), lid has crack in right upper corner, felt is damaged and split at the hinges, wood is discolored on upper surface of the lid and on front side, right lower corner brass arc missing, broken pieces of wood inside,
