DescriptionThe WANDERER has stranded on the rocks off Cuttyhunk, Massachusetts. Rocks of various sizes and shapes are in the foreground. The stern has "Wanderer" painted in white, with port side also visible to the viewer. The sky is a prominent part of the painting: pinkish-gray at skyline, yellow-blue, then blue. Painting done in light, soft colors.
