DescriptionTapered wooden shaft inlaid with mother-of-pearl diamonds and whale ivory dots; yellow-metal tip; yellow metal separator; 16 disc bands of mottled wood in groups of three, four, and five, interspersed with 2 wide bands and two narrow bands of whale ivory, and one wide band of wood; yellow-metal separator; whale ivory shank fastened with a thorugh-drilled non-ferrous metal pin, with two inlaid baleen dots; surmounted by a whale ivory turk's head (monkey's fist) pommel.ProvenanceEstate of Nathan C.
