Materials in this collection date from 1925 to 1979 and document the operations and history J.C. Rhodes Company as the leading eyelet manufacturer and principal eyelet supplier for PCI Group, Inc. Administrative records range from 1925 to 1976 and contain Annual Meeting minutes, production records, and facilities plans. Annual Meeting minutes consist of the meeting packet for the 1976 Annual Meeting. Information in this packet contains agendas, yearly minutes, financial reports, and advertisement news for the 1976 fiscal year. Production records contain notes on the company's eyelet manufacturing in addition to reports on the factory's overall performance for the years 1955 to 1966 in addition to eyelet prices from several different manufacturers for the years 1925 through 1967. The collection also contains a series of facilities plans from 1966 showing the factory. Items related to the company's institutional history date from 1966 to 1979 and consist primarily of two scrapbooks documenting the years 1972 through 1977. These scrapbooks contain newspaper articles, advertisements, and personnel news in the form of company correspondence and newspaper clippings. In addition to the scrapbooks, there are also individual newspaper clippings from 1969 to 1970 documenting the company's history and ties to New Bedford. Two informational brochures from 1966 and 1976 discuss J.C. Rhodes Company, their relationship within PCI Group, Inc., the history of both companies, and their facilities in the New Bedford Industrial Park.
