DescriptionThis collaborative work by carvers KAtēwha‡et (Tom La Fortune, b. 1959, SȾAUTW̱/Tsawout First Nation) and Aan Eeti Looti (Raymond Peck, 1950-2020, Tlingit) shows a killer whale, or orca, with a bird motif and faces on the dorsal fin and flukes. The stylistic formline design is unique to the Pacific Northwest Coast Indigenous communities and sometimes reflects familial clan connections. On View
