DescriptionFolding ensemble (jackknife fashion) with pierced-work ornamental casing (left and right), consisting of three pieces joined (glued) at the bottom and carved as a scallop shell finial; with four pivoting attachments: paper knife (letter opener); toothpick; ear spoon; and scraper. The ornamental casing panels, with pierced-work heart and other motifs, appears to be decorated with bow-drill impressions, in the fashion, with red highlights.
