DescriptionMonochrome engraved both sides via pinprick transfer. Recto: Starboard broadside views of a two-masted topsail schooner under sail, gaff rigged, Friendship-type bow, flying a pennant at the fore and a USA flag at the main. Verso: Bird perched on a branch of a tree. The style of the engraving is linear and open; sails have an odd twist and two rows of very prominent reef points.ProvenanceKendall Whaling Museum; NBWM
