DescriptionA framed charcoal drawing of four men pushing a large cask with markings up a ramp to the ship. At the left is a man wearing a hat waiting on board. There is a man on the rigging looking out and small equipment at the lower right corner. A schooner with sails set is behind. The title is in the lower left corner. It is a sketch for the painting "Taking on the Cargo". The painting "Taking on the Cargo" is now owned by New Bedford Free Public Library.On View
