DescriptionA sketch depiction of two dancers in the center, one holding a bone or rattle in his right hand and turning his back to the artist, the other is bare-chested, wearing a simple headdress and standing on a skin. To the right are sevenmen playing hand drums. To the left and center background are the other people looking on.

From a group of 14 drawings, c. 1890 made by Inupiat children at the mission school, possibly at Port Clarence.

Smith and his wife Maria [aka Marian], possibly at Port Clarence. Records indicate that the drawings "came into the museum approximately 1914", however Horace Smith died in June 1913 and Maria Smith in July 1913.
