DescriptionThis cedar wood model canoe has hand painted decoration along the sides, three wood thwarts spanning the opening that are held in place with pegs, and formline painting. It is from the Pacific Northwest or Southeast Panhandle of Alaska. ProvenanceLikely owned by Frank Wood (1851-1933), ODHS Curator (appointed in 1914)
